That's Not A Typo

When Marie Blachère approached us in the winter of 2019 they approached us with a very specific question:

Can we prove the ROI of digital marketing? The answer, of course, is yes (if you do it correctly) .

At the same time Instagram was flooded with fake micro-influencers, the kind to buy fake engagement (likes, views, and followers)  just to showcase the inflated vanity metrics to brands that they would then “partner” with, leaving the brand with a big spend and no results.


With this in mind, we decided to go against conventional thought and designed a custom digital marketing solution that allocated $0 to social media food influencers and instead opted to allocate that would-be budget into a new tech stack featuring our Customer Experience Automation (CXA)  along with an advertising strategy on social and search.


As fate would have it the COVID-19 pandemic struck a few months later and our new tech stack was essential in informing existing customers that not only was Marie B. open to takeout and delivery, but that they would also open their pantry to their guests, providing essentials like eggs, flour, butter, ground coffee, and more for those who were having trouble finding these items in super markets.

30% Increase in Sales

Thanks to our contrarian approach, investing in a tech stack rather than traditional marketing we managed to bring Marie Blachère an additional 30% in sales in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. Being ready with a tech stack that incentivized delivery sales helped Marie B. weather this rough period, the advertising strategy that went along the tech stack was also crucial, allowing us to bring in new traffic to the website that converted at a very high rate.

3000% ROI

A correction here: It’s actually 3253%. Writing 3253 in the title just looks like we made that number up.

During 2020 we ran multiple marketing activations throughout the new tech stack we  put in place for Marie B. As a result we saw a really high number of conversions with returns of 3253%, 1128%, and 809% across email, search engine marketing, and social media channels.
